The route for Saturday's ride has been fine tuned to eliminate current road issues and the plan is a good one.
Since early yesterday the forecast in New England for Tropical Storm Debbie has been improving with each forecast cycle. Debbie is currently ashore and is weakening in wind & rain and increasing in speed, which are expected to continue. Current forecast for our area is that Debbie will drop 1-2 inches of rain with winds not exceeding 30 MPH before it passes by early to mid morning Saturday. WMUR even mentioned it could pass by 6:00 AM in NH. After passage the day will be a mix of clouds & sun and be dry with winds WNW 5-10 in the Montpelier area.
I will cancel if weather dictates, but right now my biggest concern is the possibility of canceling the ride for lack of interest. PLEASE indicate via RSVP if you are interested in this ride assuming the weather will be rideable. I'll continue to monitor Debbie and diligently make an appropriate riding decision as the Saturday forecast for New England continues to sharpen. Thanks and I hope to see your name on the RSVP list.
