Ride this Saturday (9/20/25) to Jenna's Butcher, Deli, Mkt
I just did the preride, Tuesday 9/16, and found an issue with a Keene road closed for bridge and road repair. Replaced that with two other routes identified for arrival and departure that will work very well. We also found a few of the planned roads with freshly laid pavement so recent they did not yet have painted lines. Nice! This means we are ready to ride on Saturday.
The weather Saturday looks to be sunny and dry throughout with light and variable winds and seasonably cool temps reaching 67 in the Lakes Region and 68 in Keene. No unbearable heat and humidity. This is perfect riding conditions, unless you forget to wear your favorite spring & fall riding jacket.... so don't do that.
Jenna's offers great deli sandwiches, hot and cold, often with a couple daily specials and a daily soup. Seating is available both indoors and out.
But, as much as I like Jenna's, the real reason to come on this ride is to enjoy the routes, the roads and the riding. I expect the combination of roads to and from Keene will be routes you are not likely to have used previously when destined for Keene. You will see views of Mt. Monadnock from both the south and the north. You will ride through the unique and historic center of Dublin, NH, the home of Yankee Magazine and The Old Farmer's Almanac. And all your riding will be on two-lane State and Local roads, what we all enjoy.
There are only three chapter rides (including this one) and the LHD foliage ride left on the schedule for 2025, so please press the RSVP to let us know you will be riding, but if it is a late decision just be there on Saturday morning.
