Ride to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse & Camden ME, Saturday July 23.
If you’d enjoy a full day in the saddle riding some distance to two beautiful destinations, this is a ride you’ll not want to miss. Clark planned this ride but had an emergency business trip call him to Europe. However, the ride must go on, so I will fill in at Lead with Joe Newman at Sweep.
The first destination is the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, commissioned by John Quincy Adams in 1827 and it has an interesting Fisherman’s Museum on the first floor of the Keeper’s House. Next door is the oceanfront SeaGull Restaurant where we will have lunch. Then we ride to the picturesque village of Camden, famous for its fleet of schooners that sail the waters of Penobscot Bay. Here we will spend some relaxing time exploring the village center, waterfront and shops. Finally, the trip home will be via a totally different route offering more interesting riding.
If you are up for the ride, it will not disappoint, and the forecast right now is suggesting a fine riding day. RSVP and join us!
Note that this ride departs very early from the Meredith Irving / Circle K on Rte 25.

Sounds like a wonderful ride!!! Camden is one of my favorite towns in Maine. I wish I could join in but I will be teaching on the range. Enjoy and safe travels!!
