Pocono Overnight Trip

Hello Fellow Riders!

Well it's time for me to share the details for the 2023 Chapter LONG Ride to the Poconos.

As scheduled, the Ride is Thursday Sept 21 Sept - Sunday Sept 24th. More specific details will be communicated to those who choose to join us for our exciting adventure in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, known as the Honeymoon Capital of the East.  You know, Heart shaped Beds, Mirrors on the Ceilings, Champagne Glass Tubs, probably still have shag carpeted rooms!  Ahh the 60's!!!

Anyway, most of what you need to make a decision is included here and will be discussed at this Sunday's (9/13) Chapter meeting. Hopefully you can attend. If not, You are welcome to contact me via E-Mail: mevansbedford@gmail.com or phone 603-325-3974.  I will be your Host and Lead Road Captain. John Zanchi has joyfully agreed to be the Sweep for the ride.

I am not limiting the amount of Bikes but, if we go above 10 bikes, I will need an additional Road Captain to participate or I will need to just allow the first 10 Bikes (not riders as some will surely be "2 up" on bikes). So, if you are going, please commit via E-Mail to me with the names of who's going.

You will need to READ the details in the email that will soon be sent out very carefully. There are some rules and requirements that you need to understand before you commit specific to the facility we are staying at.

THIS IS A LONG RIDE!  If you are not used to them, this may not be the trip for you. Be confident in your skill level but, not Over Confident. I am planning to stop for Humanity and Fuel Breaks as close to every 100 miles as possible (approx every 90 minutes) all weekend.

Helmets and Rain Suits are REQUIRED for all Riders! I'd also recommend some warm clothing as it will be Fall in the Mountains (think the "Kank" in the fall). The Colors should be outstanding!

If the last few years of our long Chapter rides are any indication, we should have another awesome weekend.

The DEADLINE to Commit to Mark Evans directly for the ride is Sunday August 20th @ 5:00p.m. After that date, I might be able to get you a room but, no guarantee after 8/20/23.

Finally, you are REQUIRED to bring a Good Attitude! Nothing kills a great adventure more than a complainer. If you come prepared and are excited about the Adventure, you will be a part of some Great Memories to share for years!
