The historic Ashland Railroad Station was built in 1869, Remodeled by the RR in 1891 and restored by the Ashland Historical Society in 1997-98. It is a well-preserved example of a rural 19th Century RR station.
Across the street is the Bernsen Art Gallery, located in the old 1850s B&M Railroad Freight Depot, where Bill Bernsen creates unique, whimsical art from New England’s forgotten tools. “Implements of the past…Assembled in the present…For the future” Some of his works, naturally displayed outdoors are visible from the road.
