Departure Time: Registration at 8:30 am, Pre-Ride Meeting at 8:45 am and KSU at 9:00 am
Departure Location: LHD Parking Lot
Approximate Ride Length: 260 miles round trip approx. 6 1/2 hours saddle time
Picnic Lunch: L.L. Cote ( They have a subway and other hot and cold foods available for purchase)
Return Time and Location: return to LHD approx. 5:00 pm
Description of route and road type: All two-lane roads being state and local highway.
Ride Notes: Join us for a scenic ride from the Laconia Harley Davidson Dealership north through Franconia Notch, Twin Mountain, Jefferson, Gorham, Errol, Colebrook, into Vermont (Helmets are required).
We will be traveling along the river on Vt Rt 102 crossing back into New Hampshire in Lancaster, then continuing south through Whitefield, and back through Franconia Notch to LHD.
We will be traveling North on Rt 3 from the dealership to Rt 175 in Holderness. North on Rt 175 and cross the Blair Bridge back onto Rt 3 to Lincoln.
We will take a short rest break at the 7 Eleven Gas Station. We will leave by turning right onto Main St then left onto Connector Rd at the traffic light.
We will then turn right on Rt 3 and travel north through Franconia Notch and Exit I 93 to Rt 3 North through the town of Carroll aka Twin Mtn,
We will then continue North on Rt 3 turning right onto Rt 115 to Gorham. We will stop at the Irving Station across from the Gorham Fire Dept for a rest stop.
We will travel north on Rt 16 through " 13 Mile Woods " stopping at L.L. Cote for picnic lunch and gas if needed.
We will then travel Rt 26 to main street in Colebrook and crossing into Vermont from Bridge Street following Vt Rt 102S This a winding two lane paved highway. ( Fun )
We will then cross back into Lancaster, NH stopping for a rest break at the Jiffy Mart on main St before traveling south on Rt 3 through Whitefield then trough Carroll.
Once we exit Franconia Notch back onto Rt 3 South we will continue to Plymouth and follow Rt 175 back to Rt 3 in Holderness. (Main St in Plymouth is under heavy construction currently.)
Our trip of the beautiful north country will end back at LHD around 5:00pm.
I know this is a long day of riding, approx. 260 miles, but it's a great ride for all levels of riders.
